Our Story
Founded in August 2024, Ginny's Apples is known for its delicious homemade stewed apples, apple pie filling and salsa.
Hey there! My name is Cheryl Merriweather and I am the owner of Ginny's Apples.

Born and raised in Savannah, GA, the kitchen has always been a cornerstone in my life. I come from a large, southern family that loves to eat. From standing on a stool in my grandmother's kitchen sifting flour for homemade biscuits, to watching my mom prepare desserts for holiday dinners, my passion for baking started when I was just a little girl.

In 2014 I started Unforgettables where I was the Master Cake Artist/Owner. After being laid off from my job in 2013, Unforgettables was the evolution of my passion for baking and creating. In the summer of 2024 I decided to make a pivot in the business by hanging up my baker’s apron and putting all of my focus into developing Ginny's Apples, a dream that I’ve been wanting to start since 2018.

As a child, I can vividly remember getting so excited as my Grandmother would set the bowl of stewed apples on the table. Whether they were served for breakfast or dinner, stewed apples was a constant presence on the family table.
